The Stress Test Unit is made up of a multidisciplinary team consisting of specialists in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Genetics, and Clinical Analysis.
The unit focuses on preventing cardiovascular disease by treating one of its main causes: stress.
The objective is the early, pre-symptom detection of high blood pressure, cardiac hypertrophy, and arteriosclerosis, all of which can lead to heart attacks. This involves detecting possible causes, such as chronic stress. Chronic stress is considered a risk comparable to the cardiovascular damage caused by hypertension and obesity.
Considering stress as a cause of cardiovascular disease will enable it to be detected and treated routinely as is the case with other primary care diseases.
Patients will improve their mental state and reduce the risk of suffering heart disease as a result of the hypertension produced by stress. The Stress Test, designed by CIMA, can be carried out specifically or independently or as part of the Health Check-up.
